Recently, Scandinavian Tobacco Group announced in a press release that it had reached an agreement with royal agio cigars to acquire 100% of the Dutch family cigar company, namely a wholly-owned acquisition.

For the acquisition, the Dutch cigar manufacturer said that the plan to sell the company was in line with the future development of the company and helped the growth of the company's cigar brand.

According to reports, the transaction is expected to be completed in the first half of 2020. But the acquisition has not yet been approved by the local government's competition regulator.
